Momentum is excited to announce two prominent educational institutions as its newest clients: American University of Antigua College of Medicine (AUA) and the Lavelle School for the Blind.
AUA is an international accredited medical school located in the Caribbean, working to help aspiring doctors in underrepresented communities fulfill their dream of a medical education. Founded in 2004 by Neal Simon, AUA has accreditation from the New York State Education Department, the Medical Board of California, and the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and other Health Professions (CAAM-HP). AUA is committed to its goal of providing a high-quality and affordable medical education to all of its students, and addressing the diversity and primary care shortage in the medical field.
Established 100 years ago, Lavelle School for the Blind is a multi-cultural educational institution that integrates students who are blind, visually impaired and have multiple disabilities in a challenging yet nurturing environment. Each student’s unique skills and attributes are reflected in the school’s daily activities. Through an emphasis on functional academics, independence in all life skills, and development of a positive self-image, students are prepared to participate in all aspects of community life. Lavelle School develops all students to their fullest potential while providing support and resources to the students and their parents.
Both organizations have engaged Momentum to provide media relations services, a core capability of the agency. Momentum will also deliver digital services to these new clients, executing a social media campaign for AUA and a new website for Lavelle. Momentum is honored to partner with these organizations who are creating paths towards success for their students every day.
